Answer: I have two answers for you. First, you’re right: wrenches, sockets, locking-pliers are the go-to tools for dismantling the fence from the poles and taking the gate apart
Second, depending on how long the fence is, simply taking down the chain-link portion of it and rolling it up might be difficult. Despite looking light and airy, once your start to roll up the fencing, it gets way heavy, way fast. The solution is easy — bolt cutters. They make it fairly easy to cut the fence in sections. They also work where a shrub or tree has grown in with the links and either have to come out.
As for the posts, don’t bother trying to remove them unless you want your driveway to come along in huge chunks; the posts are probably buried three feet and in concrete. Best
